2 Weeks Later

“Sir, can I get you something else to drink while you wait or is there anything on the menu that you’d like to order?” The waiter asked me.

“Nawl sweetheart. I’m good just as I was when you left from over here a second ago. And I’ll be good the next few times too, so save yourself the trip. Here’s an extra tip, so there’s no need to come back over this way. If I need anything, I promise to whistle for your service.” I politely stated as I handed her a fifty-dollar bill.

Baby girl must have taken some offense to what I said because she rolled her eyes and stomped off. Bu you can bet your ass she hurriedly took that $50 from a brother.

I chuckled lightly to myself.

Women needed to learn that being thirsty was a major turn off and the quickest way to get the boot and be dismissed. She’d been over to my table more than 10x already and I’d only been sitting here for a little over five minutes. I’d already peeped her game when she had the girl behind the register to check her teeth and used a glass to check her reflection before heading in my direction giving me her best imitation to believe she was the perfect waitress and was superior at her job when knowing right before I walked in she was slouched over conversing with her coworker like they weren’t on the clock. But game peeped game and hers was definitely one I wasn’t trying to play.

I couldn’t lie and say that shawty wasn’t right because some would probably even suggest that she could give the queen of the Bey Hive or Nicki herself a run for their money. But for me, she just didn’t do it. The only woman that I had on my mind right now was Noel and trying to determine how I was going to make amends and get my woman back.

The P.I. I’d hired had confirmed the location of Ayanna and had informed that she definitely didn’t have Dreia. For a minute, that news had me worried. Had me thinking that maybe she’d did something to my lil baby sister and hid her body. But after receiving a strange voicemail from Dreia, I was able to calm my nerves a bit. I could tell in her voice that she was good and doing well. But that still didn’t stop me from worrying because I still had no idea where it was that she was staying exactly.

She did, however, confirm that it was indeed Ayanna who had taken her from the facility and voiced that she wouldn’t return until it was safe and sound meaning that Ayanna was put away and could no longer harm her.
